Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes 7/31/2015 Members Present: John Avalos, London Breed, David Campos, Julie Christensen, Malia Cohen, Jane Kim, Eric Mar, and Scott Wiener ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE President London Breed called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. On the call of the roll, Supervisors Farrell, Kim, Tang, and Yee were noted not present. There was a quorum. COMMUNICATIONS There were no communications. Supervisors Farrell, Tang, and Yee Excused from Attendance Supervisor Christensen, seconded by Supervisor Cohen, moved that Supervisors Farrell, Kim, Tang, and Yee be excused from today's meeting. Before the roll was called on the motion, Supervisor Kim was noted present at 9:37 a.m. President Breed stated the motion was out of order and asked for a new motion to excuse Supervisors Farrell, Tang, and Yee. Supervisor Campos, seconded by Supervisor Avalos, moved that Supervisors Farrell, Tang, and Yee be excused from attending today's meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: 8 - Avalos, Breed, Campos, Christensen, Cohen, Kim, Mar, Wiener Excused: 3 - Farrell, Tang, Yee COMMITTEE REPORT 150809 [Initiative Ordinance - Environment Code - Clean Energy Right to Know Act] Sponsors: Breed; Avalos, Wiener and Christensen Motion ordering submitted to the voters an Ordinance amending the Environment Code to define the terms Clean Energy, Green Energy, and Renewable Greenhouse Gas-Free Energy to provide San Francisco residents and businesses accurate information regarding electric power, at an election to be held on November 3, 2015. Motion No. M15-125 APPROVED by the following vote: Ayes: 8 - Avalos, Breed, Campos, Christensen, Cohen, Kim, Mar, Wiener Excused: 3 - Farrell, Tang, Yee PUBLIC COMMENT Andrew Yip; spoke on various concerns. Eric Brooks; thanked individuals for their work on the CleanPowerSF Program. Tom Gilberty; spoke on concerns regarding the sale of properties and rental units.
