            At the request of President Peskin, Supervisor Walton assumed the chair at 2:18 p.m. so the
            President could participate in the debate on File No. 231263 from the floor.

            The President resumed the chair at 2:27 p.m.

            Resolution calling for a sustained ceasefire in Gaza, humanitarian aid, release of hostages, and
            condemning antisemitic, anti-Palestinian, and Islamophobic rhetoric and attacks.
            Supervisor Safai requested a moment of silence for all the lives lost during this conflict (File No.
            231263); President Pro Tempore Walton obliged and called for a moment of silence.
            Supervisor Peskin, seconded by Supervisor Walton, moved that this Resolution be AMENDED, AN
            AMENDMENT OF THE WHOLE BEARING SAME TITLE, on Page 1, Line 7, through Page 3, Line 2, by
            striking all of the ‘WHEREAS’ clauses; and on Page 1, Line 15, through Page 2, Line 9, by adding
            ‘FURTHER RESOLVED, That the San Francisco Board of Supervisors condemns Hamas’s attack on
