Supervisor Walton, seconded by Supervisor Ronen, moved that this Resolution be AMENDED, AN AMENDMENT OF THE WHOLE BEARING NEW TITLE, on Page 1, Line 3, by adding ‘the City Administrator and City Controller to encourage’, and Lines 17-18 by adding ‘, through the City Controller’s office’; on Page 2, Lines 4-7, by adding ‘WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 275-06 requires that the Office of the City Administrator encourage all contractors subject to the ordinance to make voluntary contributions to an account to be used to ameliorate the legacy of the slavery era on persons subjected to slavery and their descendants; and’; and on Page 3, Lines 11-13, by changing ‘city contractors that have participated and/or profited from slave trades to make’ to ‘the Office of the City Administrator and City Controller to send letters to all City vendors covered by Ordinance No. 275-06 to encourage them to make’. The motion carried by the following vote:

            Resolution urging city contractors that have participated and/or profited from slave trades to make
            voluntary contributions to ameliorate the legacy of slavery.
            Supervisors Safai and Dorsey requested to be added as co-sponsors.
            Supervisor Walton, seconded by Supervisor Ronen, moved that this Resolution be AMENDED, AN
            AMENDMENT OF THE WHOLE BEARING NEW TITLE, on Page 1, Line 3, by adding ‘the City Administrator
