211067 [Mayoral Appointment, Police Commission - Max Carter-Oberstone]
            Motion approving the Mayor’s nomination for the appointment of Max Carter-Oberstone to the
            Police Commission, for a term ending April 30, 2022. (Clerk of the Board)
            (Charter, Section 4.109, provides that this nomination is subject to approval by the Board of
            Supervisors and shall be the subject of a public hearing and vote within 60 days from the date the
            nomination is transmitted to the Clerk of the Board. If the Board fails to act on the nomination
            within 60 days from the date the nomination is transmitted to the Clerk, then the nominee shall be

            Supervisor Stefani introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Swords to
            Plowshares staff, including Gabriel Iturbe, Blake McClendon, Tache Evans, Grant Hower, and
            LaJune Davis-McKee, in recognition of their many accomplishments supporting and advocating for
            homeless, low-income, and at-risk veterans by providing employment and housing services.

211146 [Mayoral Appointment, Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board - Mark Gonzales]
            Motion approving/rejecting the Mayor’s nomination for the appointment of Mark Gonzales to the
            Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board, term ending March 1, 2023. (Clerk of the Board)
            (Charter, Section 3.100(18), provides that the Board of Supervisors has the authority to reject the
            appointment by two-thirds vote of the Board (eight votes) within 30 days following transmittal of the
            Mayor's Notice of Appointment, and that failure of the Board to reject the appointment by two-thirds
            vote within the 30 day period shall result in the appointee continuing to serve as appointed.
