                   Aaron Peskin, Dean Preston, Hillary Ronen, Ahsha Safai, Catherine Stefani, and
                   Shamann Walton


            The Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco met in regular session,
            and provided public comment through teleconferencing, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, with
            President Shamann Walton presiding.

            President Walton called the meeting to order at 2:06 p.m.



Remote Access to Information and Participation
            On March 17, 2020, the Board of Supervisors (Board) authorized their Board and Committee
            meetings to convene remotely and allow remote public comment via teleconference. Effective
            June 29, 2021, the Board and staff began to reconvene for in-person Board proceedings.
            Committee meetings will continue to convene remotely until further notice. Visit the SFGovTV
            website at (www.sfgovtv.org) to stream the live meetings, or to watch meetings on demand.
            Members of the public are encouraged to participate remotely via detailed instructions on
            participating via teleconference available at https://sfbos.org/remote-meeting-call.

ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
            On the call of the roll, Supervisors Chan, Haney, Mandelman, Mar, Melgar, Peskin, Preston,
            Ronen, Safai, Stefani, and Walton were noted present.

            All Members were present.

            President Walton presented the ancestral homeland acknowledgement of the Ramaytush Ohlone,
            who are the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula, pursuant to Board Rule 4.7.1.

APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
            President Walton inquired whether any Member of the Board had any corrections to the May 25,
            2021, or June 8, 2021, Board Regular Meeting Minutes or the June 7, 2021, Special Board Meeting
            Minutes at the Land Use and Transportation Committee, which constituted a quorum of the Board
            of Supervisors, as presented. There were no corrections requested from any Member of the
            Board.
            Supervisor Preston, seconded by Supervisor Peskin, moved to approve the May 25, 2021, and June 8,
            2021, Board Regular Meeting Minutes and the June 7, 2021, Special Board Meeting Minutes at the
            Land Use and Transportation Committee, which constituted a quorum of the Board of Supervisors, as

            Ordinance authorizing settlement of the lawsuits filed by Square, Inc. against the City and County
            of San Francisco for $2,625,000; the lawsuits were filed on September 6, 2019, and August 18,
            2020, in San Francisco County Superior Court, Case Nos. CGC-19-579061 and CGC-20-586039;
            both entitled Square, Inc. v. City and County of San Francisco et al.; the lawsuits both involve
            claims for a refund of gross receipts taxes; other material terms of the settlement are the
            agreement that Square, Inc. and its related entities will not take certain filing positions with respect

            of San Francisco for $80,000; the lawsuit was filed on December 3, 2019, in United States District
            Court - Northern District, Case No. 19-cv-07921; entitled Shanay Jones v. City and County of San
            Francisco; the lawsuit involves an alleged prescription medication error; City and County of San
            Francisco agreed to pay for any unreimbursed medical costs related to Shanay Jones’ care at
            Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital as to Ms. Jones’ medical care from January-February

210601 [Administrative Code - COVID-19 Tenant Protections]
            Sponsors: Preston; Walton, Ronen, Chan, Melgar, Haney, Safai, Peskin and Mandelman
            Ordinance amending the Administrative Code to prohibit landlords from evicting residential tenants
            for non-payment of rent that came due between July 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, that was
            not paid due to the COVID-19 pandemic, provided the tenant has paid at least 25 percent of the
            rent owed; to prohibit landlords from imposing late fees, penalties, or similar charges on such
            tenants; and making findings as required by the California Tenant Protection Act of 2019.
            Supervisor Safai requested to be added as a co-sponsor.

            exceed $162,314,897 to finance the costs of various capital projects benefitting the Power
            Enterprise pursuant to Charter, Sections 9.107(6) and 9.107(8), including amendments to the
            Charter of the City and County of San Francisco enacted by the voters on November 5, 2016,
            commonly referred to as Proposition A; authorizing the issuance of Power Revenue Refunding
            Bonds; declaring the Official Intent of the Commission to reimburse itself with one or more issues

            2021-2022) to reflect the substitution of three positions (0.00 FTEs) at the Airport Commission, and
            the substitution of nine positions (0.00 FTEs) and the addition of 23 positions (20.04 FTEs) at the
            San Francisco Public Utilities Commission in FY2021-2022.
