SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Mandelman, seconded by Supervisor Haney, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of
            Order of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion
            carried by the following vote:
                 Ayes: 11 - Brown, Fewer, Haney, Mandelman, Mar, Peskin, Ronen, Safai, Stefani, Walton, Yee
            TRANSGENDER AWARENESS MONTH

            President Yee opened the special commendation period and Supervisor Mandelman provided
            opening remarks on the significance of Transgender Awareness Month. Clair Farley, Director
            (Office of Transgender Initiatives), provided additional comments and Lynn Breedlove performed a
            short spoken word piece. Supervisors then introduced, welcomed, and presented Certificates of
            Honor to the following individuals in recognition of their accomplishments, advocacy, and
            continued community support, as referenced below:

            Supervisor Mandelman recognized Andrea Horne;
            Supervisor Haney recognized Lynn Breedlove;
            President Yee recognized Jesse Kolber;
            Supervisor Walton recognized Samantha Jo-Dato, accepted on her behalf by Precious Luv’Lee
            and Johanna Holden;
            Supervisor Stefani recognized Leo Petroni;
            Supervisor Safai recognized Cecilia Chung;
            Supervisor Ronen recognized Maggie Sanchez;
            Supervisor Peskin recognized Nikki Calma;
            Supervisor Mar recognized Martin Rawlings-Fein;
            Supervisor Fewer recognized Jackie Thornhill; and
            Supervisor Brown recognized Kenya Boudreaux and Felicia Elizondo.
