       Community Benefit District - July 16, 2019]
            Hearing of the Board of Supervisors sitting as a Committee of the Whole on July 16, 2019, at 3:00
            p.m., to consider the renewal and expansion of a property-based business improvement district
            known as the Civic Center Community Benefit District, pursuant to the California Property and
            Business Improvement District Law of 1994 (Streets and Highways Code, Sections 36600 et seq.)
            and City and County of San Francisco Business and Tax Regulations Code, Article 15; scheduled
            pursuant to Resolution No. 250-19, adopted on May 21, 2019. (Clerk of the Board)
            President Yee opened the public hearing and Supervisor Haney provided introductory remarks.
            The President then inquired as to whether any member of the public wished to address the
            Committee of the Whole relating to the proposed Civic Center Community Benefit District (File
            Nos. 190565 and 190566). Chris Corgas (Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce
            Development), Tracy Everwine, Executive Director (Civic Center Community Benefit District),
            provided an overview of the proposed community benefit district and responded to questions
            raised throughout the discussion. Andrico Penick, Director (Real Estate Division); Miles Gordon;
            Tim Greywolf; Mark Shorstein; Ruth Knott; Patrick Mills; Jim Haas; Susan McConkey; Lisa Bollard;
            George Housley; Justin Stillmock; Dan Slothsman; Vryan; Tonia Abande; Michael Rossoff (One
            United Nations Plaza); Kate; Samila Takhal; David Stewart; Joanne Desmond (IATSE, Local 16);
            Regina Guggenheim (SHN Theatres); Brenda Saylor; David Harrison; Lynn Mazzarolli; Gary; Tom
            Gilberty; Janan New; Michael Wright; spoke in support of the community benefit district. Paul Allick
            (Church of the Advent); Speaker; Donna Venendetti; spoke in opposition to the community benefit
            district. There were no other speakers. President Yee declared public comment closed, adjourned
            as the Committee of the Whole, and reconvened as the Board of Supervisors.
