            Motion withdrawing the Charter Amendment previously ordered submitted by the Board of
            Supervisors, for the election to be held on November 5, 2019, to establish the Free City College
            Fund to defray certain costs of City College students, and to require annual appropriations in
            designated amounts to the Fund (Board File No. 181001).
            Supervisor Safai requested to be added as a co-sponsor.

SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Peskin, seconded by Supervisor Fewer, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order
            of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion carried
            by the following vote:
                 Ayes: 10 - Brown, Fewer, Haney, Mandelman, Peskin, Ronen, Safai, Stefani, Walton, Yee
                 Excused: 1 - Mar
            Supervisor Peskin introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Leah Garchik
            (San Francisco Chronicle) on the occasion of her retirement after 47 years, and in recognition of
            her many contributions to the newspaper and for paving the way for so many women in this field.
            Supervisor Brown shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Fewer introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Ed Reiskin,
            Director of Transportation (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency), in recognition of his
            years of service and countless accomplishments in leadership positions throughout the City and
            County of San Francisco. Supervisors Walton, Brown, Safai, Ronen, Mandelman, Haney, and Yee
            shared in this commendation.
