190478 [Hearing - Committee of the Whole - Renewal and Expansion - North of
       Market/Tenderloin Community Benefit District - June 25, 2019]
            Hearing of the Board of Supervisors sitting as a Committee of the Whole on June 25, 2019, at 3:00
            p.m., to consider the renewal and expansion of a property-based assessment district to be known
            as the North of Market/Tenderloin Community Benefit District, pursuant to the California Property
            and Business Improvement District Law of 1994 (Streets and Highways Code, Sections 36600 et
            seq.), and City and County of San Francisco Business and Tax Regulations Code, Article 15;
            scheduled pursuant to Resolution No. 195-19, adopted on April 23, 2019. (Clerk of the Board)
            President Yee opened the public hearing and Supervisor Haney provided brief remarks. The
            President then inquired as to whether any member of the public wished to address the Committee
            of the Whole relating to the renewal and expansion of the North of Market/Tenderloin Community
            Benefit District (File Nos. 190478 and 190469). Chris Corgas (Mayor's Office of Economic and
            Workforce Development) and Simon Bertrang, Executive Director (North of Market/Tenderloin
            Community Benefit District), provided an overview of the proposed community benefit district and
            responded to questions raised throughout the discussion. Steve Gibson (Urban Place Consulting);
            Mr. Wright; Curtis Bradford (Tenderloin People’s Congress); Speaker; Stephen Tennis (Tenderloin
            Community Benefit District, Safe Passage); Michael Vuong (Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco);
            Raymond Gonzales (Downtown Streets Team); Kevin Stull (Tenderloin Community Benefit
            District); Joan Thomas; Tatiana Alabsi (Tenderloin Community Benefit District, Safe Passage);
            Speaker; Rhiannon Bailard (UC Hastings Law); Susie McKinnon (Larkin Street Merchants & Cova
            Hotel); Matthias Mormino (Chinatown Community Development Center); Charles Deffarges
            (Tenderloin Community Benefit District); Sam Dennison (Faithful Fools); Patricia Kephart (Fifth
            Church of Christ, Scientist San Francisco); Richard Hasnum (Forget Development); Speaker;

            There were no other speakers. President Yee declared public comment closed, adjourned as the
            Committee of the Whole, and reconvened as the Board of Supervisors.
