Recommendation of the Rules Committee

SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Mandelman, seconded by Supervisor Peskin, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of
            Order of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion
            carried by the following vote:

            Supervisor Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Jolene’s
            Bar on the occasion of Pride Week and in recognition of their success as a queer- and
            trans-owned bar and restaurant in San Francisco.

            Supervisor Peskin introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Andrea Green
            (Planning Department) on the occasion of her retirement and in recognition of her many years of
            civil service. John Rahaim, Director (Planning Department), provided additional remarks on this
            commendation.

            Supervisor Safai introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Mark Rosenberg
            (Monroe Elementary School) in recognition of his many accomplishments as an educator to
            generations of young individuals through unique and extraordinary work.

            Supervisor Brown introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to David Faulk, one
            of the Grand Marshals of the 2019 Pride Parade - also known as “Mrs. Vera,” in recognition of her
            inspirational performance and creativity.

            Supervisor Ronen was noted absent at 2:31 p.m. and for the remainder of the meeting.

            Supervisor Brown was noted absent at 2:57 p.m.
