180956 [Hearing - Appeal of Determination of Community Plan Evaluation - 2750-19th
       Street]
            Hearing of persons interested in or objecting to a Community Plan Evaluation by the Planning
            Department under the California Environmental Quality Act issued on May 30, 2018, for the
            proposed project at 2750-19th Street, approved on August 23, 2018, to demolish three existing
            industrial buildings, retain a principal two-story facade, and construct a six-story, 68-foot-tall
            mixed-use building with approximately 10,000 square feet of ground-floor PDR (Production,
            Distribution, and Repair), 60 residential units above and bicycle and vehicle parking in a
            basement. (District 10) (Appellant: Larisa Pedroncelli and Kelly Hill, on behalf of Our Mission No
            Eviction) (Filed September 24, 2018) (Clerk of the Board)
            President Cohen opened the public hearing and provided opening remarks on the project and
            appeal. The President then inquired as to whether any individual wished to address the Board.

            Larisa Pedroncelli of Our Mission No Eviction (Appellant) provided an overview of the appeal,
            responded to questions raised throughout the discussion, and further requested the Board to
            approve the appeal. Mr. Wright; Tom Gilberty; Jackie Barshak; Carlos Bocanegra (La Raza
            Centro Legal); Sven Everline; Scott Weaver; Rick Hall; John Mendoza (Calle 24 Latino Cultural
            District); Kevin Ortiz; Peter Papadopoulos (Mission Economic Development Agency); Speaker;
            spoke in support of the appeal. Justin Horner, Mandj Mahavan, and Lisa Gibson (Planning
            Department) provided an overview of the decision of the Planning Department and responded to
            questions raised throughout the discussion. Mark Loper, Reuben, Junius, and Rose, LLP (on
            behalf of the project sponsor) provided an overview of the project, responded to questions raised
            throughout the discussion, and further requested the Board to uphold the decision of the Planning
            Department. Mary Calviline; spoke in support of the project and in opposition to the appeal.
            Larisa Pedroncelli (Appellant) provided a rebuttal and further requested the Board to approve the
            appeal. There were no other speakers. President Cohen closed public comment and declared the
            public hearing heard and filed.
