SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Mandelman, seconded by Supervisor Stefani, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of
            Order of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion
            carried by the following vote:

            President Cohen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Helen Owens,
            author of 'Finding Our She-Compass,’ in recognition of their accomplishments and continued
            community support.

            Supervisor Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Paola
            Robles Desgarennes for their service on the San Francisco Youth Commission and her work on
            behalf of victims and survivors of domestic violence.

            Supervisor Stefani introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the San
            Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus in recognition of their accomplishments and continued community
            support. Supervisor Mandelman shared in the commendation.

            Supervisor Ronen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Officer Percy
            Hernandez in recognition of their years of service in the Portola neighborhood.

            At the request of President Cohen, Supervisor Safaí assumed the chair at 2:44 p.m. The
            President resumed the chair at 2:52 p.m.
