SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Ronen, seconded by Supervisor Safai, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order
            of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion carried
            by the following vote:
                 Ayes: 11 - Cohen, Breed, Fewer, Kim, Peskin, Ronen, Safai, Sheehy, Stefani, Tang, Yee
            Supervisor Ronen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Angela Palafox,
            Cristina Centeno, Yessica Castillo, Victoria Romero and Claudia Paz (Young Worker’s United) on
            the occasion of Immigrant Heritage Month and in recognition of their many accomplishments
            organizing and mobilizing for labor rights.

            Supervisor Safai introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Candance Wong
            on the occasion of her retirement from the City and County of San Francisco and in recognition of
            her many accomplishments as a champion for the early care and education field. Supervisors Yee
            and Tang shared in this commendation.



Appointment of President Pro Tempore
            At the request of President Cohen, Supervisor Kim assumed the chair at 2:48 p.m. so the
            President could participate in the commendations from the floor. The President resumed the chair
            at 2:56 p.m.
