       Organizations]

            Ordinance amending the Police Code to require applicants for Cannabis Business Permits to enter

SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Peskin, seconded by Supervisor Kim, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order of
            the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion carried by
            the following vote:
                 Ayes: 11 - Breed, Cohen, Fewer, Kim, Peskin, Ronen, Safai, Sheehy, Stefani, Tang, Yee
            President Breed introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Emergency
            Medical Services Workers (EMS) in the City and County of San Francisco, particularly Edgar
            Velasco, Sgt. Lloyd Martin, Officer Mark Lustenberger, Officer James Trail, Officer Tom Mora,
            Jake Ripplinger, EMT, Sandra Fiero, EMT, Debbie Yi Madhok, MD, John Fazio, RN, Richard
            Mepomuceno, RN, Rachel Limon, RN, Alberto Carillo, reired Captain Sandy Tong, EMT-P, Judy
            Stark, and Jermaine Jennings, EMT, on the occasion of National EMS Week and in recognition of
            their many accomplishments and extraordinary efforts saving countless lives.

            Supervisor Peskin introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to John Updike,
            Director (Real Estate Division), on the occasion of his retirement from the City and County of San
            Francisco after 32 years of dedicated public service, and in recognition of many accomplishments.
            Supervisors Cohen and Kim shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Kim introduced and presented a Certificate of Honor posthumously to Chan Chung
            “C.C.” Wing, the first Chinese American lawyer in California, accepted by his daughter Linda
            Chan, in recognition of his many accomplishments specializing in immigration law and working
            with hundreds of Chinese immigrants who sought to make a new life in the United States.

            Supervisor Ronen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Anne Gallagher
            in recognition of her accomplishments and continued community support.

            Supervisor Peskin introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Office of
            Short Term Rentals, accepted by Director Kevin Guy and Victoria Weatherford, in recognition of
            their many accomplishments ensuring that short-term rental activities respect neighborhood
            character, preserve the housing supply, and complies with City rules.



Appointment of President Pro Tempore
            At the request of President Breed, Supervisor Safai assumed the chair at 2:39 p.m. The President
            resumed the chair at 2:55 p.m.
