The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: 11 - Avalos, Breed, Campos, Christensen, Cohen, Farrell, Kim, Mar, Tang, Wiener, Yee Supervisor Kim introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Sergeant Patrick Kwan of the San Francisco Police Department, Tenderloin Station, in recognition of his heroic actions to save the life of a cyclist who was hit by a car in Golden Gate Park while he was off-duty. Captain Teresa Ewins, Commander of the Tenderloin Station, and Police Commissioner Victor Hwang shared in the commendation. Supervisor Yee presented a Proclamation declaring October 20, 2015, Jumpstart Day in San Francisco in recognition of Jumpstart’s commitment to early education and grade-level literacy in San Francisco and nationwide.
