SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Supervisor Kim, seconded by Supervisor Yee, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order of
            the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion carried by
            the following vote:
                 Ayes: 11 - Avalos, Breed, Campos, Christensen, Cohen, Farrell, Kim, Mar, Tang, Wiener, Yee
            Supervisor Kim introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Sergeant Patrick
            Kwan of the San Francisco Police Department, Tenderloin Station, in recognition of his heroic
            actions to save the life of a cyclist who was hit by a car in Golden Gate Park while he was off-duty.
            Captain Teresa Ewins, Commander of the Tenderloin Station, and Police Commissioner Victor
            Hwang shared in the commendation.

            Supervisor Yee presented a Proclamation declaring October 20, 2015, Jumpstart Day in San
            Francisco in recognition of Jumpstart’s commitment to early education and grade-level literacy in
            San Francisco and nationwide. Naila Bolus, President & CEO, Jennifer Curran, Deputy Director,
            and Atalaya Sergi, Regional Vice President, accepted the proclamation on behalf of Jumpstart.
