SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations


Privilege of the Floor
            Supervisor Farrell, seconded by Supervisor Campos, moved to suspend Rule 5.36 of the Rules of
            Order of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to the following guests. The motion
            carried by the following vote:
                 Ayes: 10 - Avalos, Breed, Campos, Christensen, Cohen, Farrell, Kim, Mar, Tang, Yee
                 Excused: 1 - Wiener
            Supervisor Farrell introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Father Brendan
            McBride (Irish Immigration Pastoral Center) in recognition of his accomplishments, and continued
            support and advocacy for the Irish immigrant community. Supervisor Tang, Consul General Philip
            Grant, and Bart Murphy shared in the commendation.

            Supervisors Campos and Kim introduced, welcomed, and presented Certificates of Honor to Ben
            Aymes and Kira Barrera (Human Services Agency), Captain Rene Carcamo and Captain Angie
            Carcamo (Salvation Army), Rose Broome, Sammie Rayner, and Meghan Murphy (HandUp), Emily
            Cohen (Project Homeless Connect), and Kelly Guajardo and Sergio Lopez (La Voz Latina) in
            recognition of their accomplishments and community efforts to provide relief for the families and
            survivors of the most recent spate of fires in San Francisco.
