SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order for the Board of Supervisors was suspended to
            grant privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            Supervisor Chan introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Sally Leung in
            recognition of more than a decade of service to the City and County of San Francisco and her many
            accomplishments successfully connecting the Chinese-American community with government
            services and programs. Supervisors Walton, Chen, Melgar, Dorsey, Wong, and Mandelman shared in
            this commendation. Commander Christopher Del Gandio (San Francisco Police Department)
            provided additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Mountain Lion
            Response Team that was comprised of San Francisco Animal Care and Control and the San
            Francisco Zoo, including Amy Corso, Acting Captain Stephanie Ryer, Officer Danetra Burke, Dr.
            Adrian Mutlow, and Whitney Taylor, in recognition of their heroic efforts tracking, tranquilizing,
            capturing, and safely releasing the mountain lion that was loose in the Outer Sunset District on
            September 18, 2026. Jennifer Johnston, Deputy City Administrator (City Administrator's Office),
            provided additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Peter Finn, Principal
            Officer (Teamsters, Local 856), in honor of Labor Day and in recognition of his leadership, advocacy,
            and contributions to the labor movement. Supervisors Chan, Melgar, Walton, Fielder, Chen, and
            Mandelman shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Mahmood introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Rosa Parks
            Elementary School, accepted by Laura Schmidt-Nojima, Principal, on the occasion of their 100th
            Anniversary and in recognition of their accomplishments and efforts educating the youth of San
            Francisco.

            Supervisor Dorsey introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Yerba Buena
            Gardens Conservancy, accepted by Matthew Chu, in recognition of their commitment and
            accomplishments managing Yerba Buena Gardens and providing arts, culture, recreation, and nature
            in beautiful and welcoming spaces.

            Supervisor Fielder introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Los Bomberos,
            San Francisco Fire Department, accepted by Lieutenant David Crespin, President (Los Bomberos),
            in recognition of their efforts promoting leadership and excellence through active participation in the
            local Latino community. Supervisors Melgar and Walton shared in this commendation. Chief Dean
            Crispen (San Francisco Fire Department) provided additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Walton introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Dr. Joseph E.
            Marshall in recognition of his extraordinary accomplishments as a teacher, Police Commissioner,
            author, radio talk show host, and community activist, and in appreciation of his admirable advocacy
            and mentorship of hundreds of youth and young adults throughout San Francisco.

            Supervisor Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Dave Burke,
            District 8 Public Safety Liaison, in recognition of his remarkable efforts addressing quality of life
            issues and assisting many City Departments with District 8 incidents. Supervisors Chen, Dorsey,
            Chan, and Sherrill shared in this commendation.
