SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order for the Board of Supervisors was suspended to
            grant privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            Supervisor Dorsey introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Department of
            Public Health’s Living Proof Campaign, accepted by Dominque McDowell, in recognition of their
            accomplishments sharing their personal life experiences in order to raise awareness about drug
            treatment and recovery services. Daniel Tsai, Director (Department of Public Health), provided
            additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Sherrill introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Kat Anderson,
            President (Recreation and Park Commission), in recognition of her tenure and countless
            contributions to the City and County of San Francisco. Supervisor Mandelman shared in this
            commendation.

            Supervisor Sauter introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Commander
            Christopher Del Gandio (San Francisco Police Department) in recognition of his exceptional public
            service leading the Central Station and making history as the first openly gay captain in the San
            Francisco Police Department. Supervisors Mandelman and Dorsey shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Fire
            Department’s Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT), accepted by Captain Brandon
            Tom, Dan Rabinowitz, Styger, Aly Sweeney, Patricia Liu, Hashim Anderson, Daniel Casey, Norman
            Caba, and Angela Romero, in honor of National Preparedness Month and in recognition of their
            efforts promoting emergency preparedness, community resilience, and disaster readiness throughout
            San Francisco.

            Supervisor Melgar introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to JoAnn Giovannoni,
            founder of Portal World Travel, in recognition of her accomplishments and efforts running a full
            service travel agency for the last 47 years and training the next generation of travel professionals.

            Supervisor Chen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to KTSF, accepted by
            Anne Ng, News Director (KTSF), on the occasion of their 50th Anniversary and in recognition of their
            accomplishments serving the Asian-American community through trusted news reporting and
            multicultural programming. Supervisors Sauter, Dorsey, Wong, and Mandelman shared in this
            commendation.

            Supervisor Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Public
            Works’ Castro Block Sweeper Team, accepted by Nylddy Cryz, William Hatfield, Olieng “Justin”
            Panyanouvong, LaTanya Williams, Chris Banks, and Steven Duong, in recognition of their efforts
            maintaining the Castro neighborhood sidewalks and streets, identifying safety issues, and
            contributing to the City’s vitality.
