SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order for the Board of Supervisors was suspended to
            grant privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            President Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Barbara Hale
            (Public Utilities Commission) on the occasion of her retirement from the City and County of San
            Francisco after more than 21 years of public service and in recognition of her countless
            accomplishments managing the City’s power utilities. Supervisors Chan and Dorsey shared in this
            commendation. Susan Leal provided additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Walton introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Teodora
            Ildefonzo-Olmo (Tiger Palm Shaolin Kenpo) in recognition of her accomplishments making martial
            arts accessible and affordable to San Francisco youth and encouraging healthy development.
            Sherrice Dorsey-Smith, Director (Department of Children, Youth and Their Families) provided
            additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Sherill introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Women of the
            Dolphin Swimming and Boating Club, accepted by Diane Walton, and the South End Rowing Club,
            accepted by Lee Bender, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of women being included in the
            membership of their organizations and in recognition of their advocacy for women. Supervisor Sauter
            shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the winners of the
            “Dumb Law Contest,” Mike Nohr and Katherine Robert, in recognition of their ideas on burdensome
            laws contained in San Francisco’s Municipal Code.

            President Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Chris Verdugo,
            Chief Executive Officer (San Francisco, Gay Men’s Chorus), in recognition of his leadership of the
            Gay Men’s Chorus for over a decade and his longstanding dedication to the LGBTQ+ community.
