SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order for the Board of Supervisors was suspended to
            grant privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            Supervisor Sauter introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Chinatown
            Transportation Research and Improvement Project (TRIP), accepted by Jon Hee, Lisa Yu, Landy
            Dong, Elenor Dong, Helen Kwan, Queena Chen, Christie Li, Mark Fong, Maybe, Gordon Chin, and
            Sharon Ng, in recognition of their volunteer work and advocacy maintaining and enhancing public
            transit, traffic flow, and pedestrian safety in and around Chinatown.

            Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Fire
            Department’s Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Team, accepted by Assistant Deputy Chief Antenor
            “Tony” Molloy, in honor of EMS Week and in recognition of the lifesaving work of the emergency
            medical teams, paramedics and emergency medical personnel.

            Supervisor Dorsey introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Consul General
            of Ireland, Micheal Smith, on the occasion of his departure from the Consulate General of Ireland,
            San Francisco Office, and in recognition of his efforts deepening Ireland’s ties to San Francisco
            during his time here. Supervisors Melgar, Wong, and Mandelman shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Dorsey introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Sister Marguerite
            Bartling (Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd), in recognition of her
            compassion and accomplishments as a devoted leader in service to women in recovery.

            Supervisor Mahmood introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Stephen Nakajo,
            in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and in recognition of his
            decades of leadership, advocacy and service to San Francisco’s AAPI communities. Chief Dean
            Crispen and Deputy Chief of Administration Sayumi Brannan (Fire Department) provided additional
            commending remarks. Supervisor Sherrill shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Walton introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Aukusitino “Tino”
            Felise, in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and in recognition of
            his advocacy and leadership within the Samoan and Pacific Islander communities.

            Supervisor Chen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Noelle Horario
            (Excelsior Works!), in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and in
            recognition of her accomplishments empowering community through equitable access to
            employment and essential resources.

            Supervisor Sherrill introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Jacque Grillo,
            Executive Director and Teacher (Lone Mountain Children’s Center), on the occasion of his retirement
            after 49 years and in recognition of his accomplishments educating and guiding the youth of San
            Francisco. Supervisor Mahmood shared in this commendation.

            President Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Le Soleil,
            accepted by Annie Wong, Bianca Wong, Kandyce Wong, and Dennis Wong, in recognition of their
            accomplishments providing Vietnamese cuisine and culture to San Francisco.


            In anticipation of losing quorum during commendations, President Mandelman recessed the meeting
            at 3:24 p.m. and reconvened at 3:30 p.m.
