Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes 1/7/2014 Members Present: John Avalos, London Breed, David Campos, David Chiu, Malia Cohen, Mark Farrell, Jane Kim, Eric Mar, Katy Tang, Scott Wiener, and Norman Yee ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The meeting was called to order at 2:08 p.m. On the call of the roll, all Supervisors were noted present. COMMUNICATIONS Angela Calvillo, Clerk of the Board, informed the Board Members that she had received a communication from the Director of Elections, certifying the candidates for the Office of Members of the Board of Supervisors who received a plurality of votes cast at the election held on November 5, 2013, who, therefore, have been declared elected to that office, namely: Katy Tang, Supervisor (District 4) Additionally, Ms. Calvillo informed the Board Members that she had received a communication from the Controller, confirming that certificiation of surety bond requirements were established for all newly elected and continuing Supervisors pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Article IX , Section 16.122(a)(e). President acknowledged the presence of the following elected officials, representatives of elected officials, and various City Department heads listed in the order announced: Mayor Edwin M. President David Chiu introduced the Honorable Mayor Edwin M. Lee who congratulated newly elected Katy Tang (District 4), Board of Supervisor. Supervisor Tang was called and afforded an opportunity for brief remarks and for introduction of family members or guests in attendance.
