Recommendations of the Finance and Labor Committee 000635 [Public Utilities Revenue Transfers] Supervisors Yee, Bierman, Ammiano Ordinance amending Article 7 of Part I of the San Francisco Administrative Code by adding Section 2A.135, providing for the appropriation to the Public Utilities Commission of a portion of surplus Hetch Hetchy revenues transferred to the General Fund, and providing for periodic increases in the amounts to be returned to the Commission. NOT PASSED ON FIRST READING by the following vote: Ayes: 4 - Ammiano, Bierman, Leno, Yee Noes: 7 - Becerril, Brown, Katz, Kaufman, Newsom, Teng, Yaki 001207 [Enforcement of Public Works Labor Standards] Supervisor Brown Ordinance amending Chapter 6 of the San Francisco Administrative Code by amending Section 6.22(E) to strengthen enforcement of the City’s prevailing wage requirements and other requirements imposed on public works contractors by the Charter and Chapter 6 of the San Francisco Administrative Code, and to increase the penalties for violating prevailing wage requirements, and by adding a new Section 6.24 to establish an office within the Department of Administrative Services to enforce prevailing wage and other city public works requirements and to provide for a funding mechanism for that enforcement. Supervisor Brown moved to amend page 14, line 12, by inserting the words, "and the diversity of San Francisco" after the words, "construction industry". Supervisor Brown, seconded by Supervisor Yaki, moved that this Ordinance be AMENDED.
