RecommendationsofHealth,Family&EnvironmentCommittee Passed on First Reading [Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)] Ordinance amending Administrative Code setting forth the local implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), designating the Commission on the Status of Women as the local agency implementing and monitoring CEDAW in San Francisco, requiring the Commission on the Status of Women to conduct gender analyses of designated departments to identify areas of discrimination against women and girls, requiring the Commission on the Status of Women to develop an action plan to redress discrimination against women and girls, and establishing a CEDAW task force to assist in implementing the ordinance; companion measure to File 98-0337.
