By Supervisor Kaufman, that City Attorney review the City’s Public Works and other relevant codes relating to the posting of signs on public property and working with that department and the public, draft appropriate amendments. By Supervisor Kaufman, that City Attorney review the City’s method for collecting sidewalk encroachment permit fees, as well as the permit process itself, and work with the Department of Public Works, the Tax Collector and the public to draft appropriate amendments to the Public Works and other relevant codes. By Supervisor Kaufman, that City Attorney review the Planning Code and other relevant codes in order to streamline those codes and the permit process and making them easier for the public and City departments to use and understand. By Supervisor Brown, that letter be sent to Chief of Police requesting an investigation into the behavior of the homeless persons who gather at various churches concerning unsafe conditions to the public, especially young children, caused by needles and condoms left in and around the area surrounding the churches.
