JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Tuesday, September 3, 1996 - 2:00 p.m. The Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco met in regular session on the above date with President Kevin Shelley presiding. CALLING THE ROLL The meeting was called to order at 2:07 p.m. On call of the roll, the following Supervisors were noted present: Supervisors Alioto, Ammiano, Hsieh, Katz, Kaufman, Leal, Shelley, Teng, Yaki - 9. Presentation of Guests Suspension of the Rules Presentation Made Supervisor Katz introduced and welcomed the Honorable, Senator Milton Marks and his wife, Carolene, to the Board's Chambers. Supervisor Katz, seconded by Supervisor Kaufman, moved to suspend Section 4, Item 25 of the Rules of Order of the Board of Supervisors to grant privilege of the floor to Senator Marks. Presentation of Guests Suspension of the Rules Presentation Made Supervisor Shelley introduced and welcomed Joe and Larry Mazzola. Supervisor Shelley, seconded by Supervisor Kaufman, moved to suspend Section 4, Item 25 of the Rules of Order of the Board of Supervisors for the purpose of making a presentation to Joe Mazzola. No objection and motion carried. On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, Supervisor Shelley presented a replica of a resolution honoring Joe Mazzola and dedicating the Plumbers and Pipefitters (Local 38) Union Hall at 1621 Market Street as "Joe Mazzola Place".
