CALLING THE ROLL In the absence of President Kevin Shelley, the meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m. by the Acting Clerk. Requests Granted There being no objection, the Board directed the Clerk to comply with the following requests: By Supervisor Alioto, that letter be sent to the Real Estate Department asking that a list of properties receiving power from PG&E and Hetch Hetchy power be identified and provided to the Board of Supervisors. Further requesting that a list of properties identified as being available to the Redevelopment Agency and as such available for Hetch Hetchy power also be identified and provided to the Board of Supervisors. By Supervisor Kennedy, that letter be sent to the Executive Director of the Human Rights Commission inquiring into the M/WBE participation in the Distribution Program-Medical/Surgical Supplies Contract #60400; Baxter Healthcare is the prime vendor. By Supervisor Teng, that letters be sent to all city departments requesting the following be submitted to Supervisor Teng's office by June 11, 1966: 1) A summary of the ethnic and gender breakdown for each department's current work force, including management positions; 2) A copy of each department's affirmative action plan; 3) An analysis of the anticipated impact passage of the California Civil Rights Initiative would have on the department with respect to: a) continued enforcement of the department's affirmative action plan; b) the ethnic and gender breakdown of the department's work force, including management; c) hiring, promotion, and retention of women and minorities in the department; d) contracting and sub-contracting with women and minority-owned companies; e) programs for outreach, mentoring, and recruitment involving women and minorities; and f) training programs for women and minorities.
