SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations

            Supervisor Dorsey introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Misha Olivas
            (United Playaz) in honor of Women’s History Month and in recognition of her advocacy of violence
            prevention and youth development. Supervisors Walton, Mahmood, and Melgar shared in this
            commendation.

            Supervisor Melgar introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Britt Benton
            (California Academy of Sciences) in honor of Women’s History Month and in recognition of her
            accomplishments and continued community support.

            Supervisor Walton introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Sherrice
            Dorsey-Smith, Executive Director (Department of Children, Youth and Their Families), in recognition
            of her accomplishments and continued community support. Supervisors Melgar and Chan shared in
            this commendation.

            Supervisor Chen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Dr. Dina Edwards,
            Principal (Sheridan Elementary School), in recognition of her accomplishments and advocacy for the
            youth of San Francisco.

            Supervisor Chan introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Women’s Housing
            Coalition, accepted by Co-Chairs Rebecca Jackson, Yves-Langston Barthaud, and Sammie Rayner,
            in honor of Women’s History Month and in recognition of their accomplishments and continued
            community support. Supervisors Melgar and Chen shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Sherrill introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Lynn Davis in honor
            of Women’s History Month and in recognition of her accomplishments and efforts as President of the
            Opera Plaza Homeowners Association.

            Supervisor Sauter introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Bri Maughan,
            Executive Director (Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District), in honor of Women’s History
            Month and in recognition of her accomplishments teaching and guiding the youth of San Francisco.

            Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the American Red
            Cross, accepted by Kenzie Ferguson and Arianna Nassiri, and Justin Mueller, in honor of American
            Red Cross Month and in recognition of their accomplishments and continued community support.

            Supervisor Mahmood introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Tatiana Alabsi
            in honor of Women’s History Month and in recognition of more than a decade of service and
            leadership uplifting the youth and families of the Tenderloin neighborhood.
