Supervisor Sauter introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, accepted by Principal Lisa Harris, in honor of the church building’s 100th Year Anniversary and in recognition of their support and guidance through love and faith. Supervisor Wong introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Maria Luz Torre (Parent Voices SF / Children’s Council) on the occasion of Parent Voices SF’s 30th Anniversary and in recognition of her accomplishments and advocacy for families and children. Mary Ignatius, Executive Director (Parent Voices California), provided additional commending remarks. Supervisors Melgar and Chen shared in this commendation. Supervisor Mahmood introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Michael Vuong (Tenderloin Boys and Girls Club) on the occasion of his departure from the Boys and Girls Club after 15 years of dedicated service and in recognition of his accomplishments supporting the youth and families of San Francisco and advocating for youth development. Supervisor Chen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Geri Almanza (United Educators on San Francisco) in honor of Women’s History Month and in recognition of her accomplishments as a teacher and advocate for the youth of San Francisco.
