            Motion appointing Supervisor Chyanne Chen as an alternate member to the Association of Bay Area
            Governments Executive Board, term ending June 30, 2027, or the conclusion of her term as a
            Member of the Board of Supervisors. (Clerk of the Board)

SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of Order for the Board of Supervisors was suspended to
            grant privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            Supervisor Walton formally introduced and welcomed Duke Despanie of Batter Up, Guns Down,
            presenting him with a Certificate of Honor in recognition of his achievements and his ongoing
            commitment to uplifting and uniting the Bayview and Hunters Point community and surrounding Bay
            Area cities together. He also expressed appreciation to Randy Taylor for his support of the program,
            which is dedicated to strengthening the community by creating positive opportunities and mentorship.
            Supervisor Walton emphasized that the work goes beyond policy, it is about investing in the people
            who uplift and empower our neighborhoods.

            Supervisor Chan introduced and welcomed James and Ginn Ross of J&G Upholstery, presenting
            them with a Certificate of Honor in recognition of their decades of experience and exceptional
            craftsmanship serving customers throughout the Bay Area. A Black-owned business operating since
            1978, J&G Upholstery has become an integral part of the fabric of the Richmond District. Supervisor
            Chan thanked the Ross family for their longstanding commitment to preserving the art of fine
            craftsmanship and for their dedicated service to the community.

            Supervisor Sherrill introduced and welcomed Jesus Mora of the SF Fire Department, presenting him
            with a Certificate of Honor in recognition of his accomplishments and continued dedication to serving
            the community. Supervisor Sherrill also expressed appreciation for his leadership as Chief
            Information Officer, where he has guided the department’s technology innovation initiatives. Among
            his many contributions, his work in advancing the streamlining the computer dispatch system over
            more than 20 years was especially recognized. Supervisor Mandelman joined in offering
            commendations and congratulations. Chief Dean Crispen (Fire Department) and Former Chief
            Joanne Hayes White provided additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Wong introduced and welcomed the American Heart Association, presenting the
            representatives with a Certificate of Honor in recognition of her accomplishments and continued
            commitment to community health. Supervisor Wong noted that more than 300,000 cardiac arrests
            occur each year, yet only 41 percent of individuals receive lifesaving CPR. He highlighted the
            American Heart Association’s critical work in training community members to perform CPR, helping
            to improve survival rates and save lives.
