            Supervisor Mahmood introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Richard Beal of
            the Tenderloin Housing Clinic in recognition for his community support as a recovery activist and his
            unwavering dedication to advocating for recovery, rebuilding the lives of formerly incarcerated
            individuals, and fostering crucial spaces for community healing. President Mandelman shared in this
            commendation.

            Resolution urging Governor Gavin Newsom to use his executive powers to commute the death
            sentences for all individuals currently sentenced to death in California.
            Supervisor Melgar requested to be added as a co-sponsor.

            Resolution extending by 90 days the prescribed time within which the Planning Commission may
            render its decision on an Ordinance (File No. 250719) amending the Planning Code to define a
            “Family” as a “Household”; eliminate numeric limits on unrelated family members and requirements
            that family members share meals; classify certain types of community care, elderly, congregate
            care, and recovery facilities as Residential Uses; include certain groups of six or fewer people and
            associated operators as a “Household”; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the
            California Environmental Quality Act; making findings of consistency with the General Plan, and the
            eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1; and making findings of public necessity,
            convenience, and welfare pursuant to Planning Code, Section 302.
