SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of the Board of Supervisors was suspended to grant
            privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            Supervisor Chan introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Assemblymember
            Phil Ting (California Assembly District 19) in recognition of his tremendous service uniting his
            constituents, advocating for his community, mentoring young leaders, and fighting for a better
            California for everyone. Supervisors Peskin, Melgar, Ronen, Mandelman, Preston, Stefani, Dorsey,
            Safai, Walton, and Engardio shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Dorsey introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to West Bay Pilipino
            Multi-Service Center, accepted by Anne DeOcampo, in recognition of their accomplishments as the
            oldest non-profit corporation in Northern California, improving programs and coordinating services for
            the Pilipino community.

            Supervisor Ronen introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Interfaith
            Movement for Human Integrity, accepted by Reverend Deborah Lee, Executive Director, in
            recognition of their accomplishments defending the humanity of the immigrant and fighting for the
            rights of the incarcerated.

            Supervisor Stefani introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Carol Anderson
            (San Francisco Police Department) on the occasion of her retirement after 40 years of public service
            and in recognition of her accomplishments and commitment to the City and people of San Francisco.
            Lt. Stephen Jonas provided additional commending remarks.

            Supervisor Mandelman introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Doug
            Shoemaker, retired President (Mercy Housing California), on the occasion of his recent retirement
            and in recognition of his accomplishments overseeing affordable housing development in California.
