SPECIAL ORDER 2:30 P.M. - Recognition of Commendations
            Without objection, Rule 5.36 of the Rules of the Board of Supervisors was suspended to grant
            privilege of the floor to the following guest(s).


            Supervisor Stefani introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Michael Blecker,
            Executive Director (Swords to Plowshares), on the occasion of his retirement and in recognition of
            his advocacy of the veterans community and dedication assisting veterans access their benefits and
            specialized services.

            President Peskin introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to Joen Madonna,
            Executive Director (ArtSpan), on the occasion of her departure after more than 10 years with ArtSpan
            and in recognition her many accomplishments being a visionary for artists and creating artistic
            spaces. Supervisor Safai shared in this commendation.

            Supervisor Safai introduced, welcomed, and presented a Certificate of Honor to the Hispanic
            Childhood Education Collaborative, accepted by Carmen Maldonado, Leticia Ornelas, Angelica
            Guerrero-Hernandez, Elena Ramirez, Hassel Ganzalez, and Esperanza Estrada, in recognition of
            their accomplishments influencing childhood educational policies and practices.
