            Clerk Calvillo further informed the Board that she was in receipt of correspondence received from the
            Office of Supervisor Melgar, received at 9:13 a.m., and the Office of Supervisor Walton, received at
            9:20 a.m., requesting to be excused from today's special meeting.



Supervisors Melgar and Walton Excused from Attendance
            Supervisor Mandelman, seconded by Supervisor Stefani, moved that Supervisors Melgar and Walton
            be excused from attending today's meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:
                 Ayes: 9 - Chan, Dorsey, Engardio, Mandelman, Peskin, Preston, Ronen, Safai, Stefani
                 Excused: 2 - Melgar, Walton


240775 [Calling from Committee - Modifying Time for Submission of Charter Amendment

            Motion calling from the Rules Committee the proposed Charter Amendment (File No. 240544) on
